Inkjet vs Laser?
I bought a laser printer (KM 2400W) at a bargain, and my inkjet died shortly after. Now I have the laser. It appears that lasers do not support a large number of alternative media such as photo papers and labels. I do not label sheets that I use in the laser printer, and it is the glossy for photos. Some people tell me to use the inkjet paper, but I know that the laser is hot and runs the risk of paper sticking to the drum. Much will not be so good that I tear the drum and must buy a new one. Should I just try some in the laser, or buy a cheap (<$ 100?) Inkjet for the labels and images. Big, lengthy explanation would be appreciated by an old Guy computer illiterate. I am looking for a solution where I can just go to Staples and buy papers off the bay. I do not troll the Internet to find out, documents branded specialty. I am someone who makes paper work in my printer, but I prefer to buy a jet of ink that research on the websites of arcana for hours.
You can actually use your laser printer to print labels. In fact, it's how all the companies I worked for / to print their labels. All you need is the style of Avery labels (paper labels with adhesive backing on a sheet of clear plastic). Just make sure that labels come on 8.5 "by 11" sheets so they will be used as your regular paper. The most important thing is to ensure that labels are not wrinkled, and you do not have a single sheet through the printer multiple times. Otherwise, you will almost always peel a label or two on the insides of your printer. Also, it's a good idea to feed the labels through the feeder manual on the printer instead of using the paper tray. The reason is that each time you run the Page label around an advantage it increases the chances of one coming off.
Determine if you have a laser printer or inkjet printer.
