How can I manually clean the printheads on an Epson Stylus C84 printer ink jet color?
The heads printing are almost completely blocked. I run through the cleaning cycle many, many times. It does not help. Printer sat for a few months unused.
Epson printers are known for that. If there is an effective way to get a working Epson After what happened I do not know. If you end up replacing your printer, I recommend looking at HP. The new HP printers use individual cartridges (like Epson), but the ink is much cheaper and lasts longer. So every time you turn off an HP printer, the head print is cleaned and the ink fades away from the printhead to avoid clogging. The ink is actually vacuumed in the cartridge. I have an HP Photosmart C5180 for about 7 months and I have never seen any sign of problems. HP printers have been using this Technology for about 3 or 4 years and I've never heard of anyone having problems with the ink from clogging.
