If you're old enough to remember daisy wheel printers, you know how much technology has advanced when it comes to computer printers. We've come a long way since the days when a daisy hit a ribbon and ink to produce a one-page letter, and even days a dot matrix printer would use its 24-pin, line by line, produce a piece of text.
Types of printers
These days, of course, there are many different options when it comes to printers. The printer manufacturers and Pricing
There are a number of leading manufacturers around the printer. Hewlett-Packard (HP), Epson, Canon, Brother, Apple and Xerox all laser manufacture and / or inkjet printer. It was interesting to watch the strategy of pricing of printer manufacturers, which is usually a minimum charge for computer printers, while imposing an exorbitant amount for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) toner or brand. This phenomenon is similar to the strategy used by manufacturers of video game consoles, where they can get back to just the cost of manufacturing the console in the purchase price, but then charge much for the actual video games.
Avoid Getting gouged with OEM Toner
While printer manufacturers would lead you to believe that the brand name toner is the toner that works only in printers, the truth is that the High quality ink or toner remanufactured Logic works equally well. You can buy toner is compatible with Hewlett-Packard (HP), Epson, Canon, Brother, Apple, and Xerox printers at a fraction of the price.
So enjoy the low prices and quality printers brand name, but do not be punctured by the high cost of toner. Always remember that there are alternatives that work just as well!
