canon duplex inkjet printer

Toss up between Canon MF4140 and Samsung SCX-4521F?
The Canon 4140 and Samsung 4521 are similarly priced ($285 and $280) at my local store and I am now stuck trying to figure out which one is better to buy in the long run.
The Canon is attractive in that it has a higher print resolution (1200×600dpi), auto duplex and higher scan resolution (9600 interpolated). However, of concern is the toner yield at 2000 pages and no ADF.
The Samsung has an ADF and a toner with a yield of 3000 pages, plus an extra 750 if you print using ‘toner save’.
I’m upgrading from my curren HP PSC2200 – an multifunction inkjet printer which irritates me to no end when I have to wait for ink to dry. I print mainly text, hardly colour, and the fax function is a must.
Any thoughts on which is better value?
I think you should pick the one with the higher toner yield. My printer drives me crazy with how much ink it uses. I actually always think twice before printing something due to the costs. Over time, this would save you a lot of money.
Especially since you mainly print text, you don’t need a higher resolution.
