Inkjet or laser printer for business? What is most profitable?
Our company currently prints about 100 things a day – color and black and white. We are going through ink like crazy on our inkjet and consider a color laser printer. I do not really understand how the printer Laser – Do you have to replace toner or ink often or never? Who be more profitable for the volume of copies we print?
A laser printer will always more profitable long term. There is a greater cost to start moving forward with laser printers, but in the end and over time you will see a savings. With a laser printer, you replace the toner (ink), but less often. Individually expesive toner is more than ink, print toners but usually in the thousands of pages while the ink cartridges in the hundreds. Think you online like Dell or Gateway. HP are more expensive and output is not so great. Output speed is also impor – you should be able to do atleast 30 color pages per minute. I personally a Dell 5100cn and do about 2-3 miles color pages a week and need to replace the cartridge once a month ($ 550 for set of four).
